Abstract:Surface-enhanced infrared absorption is a phenomenon by which the infrared absorption intensity of molecules near metal nanoparticles (NPs) is increased considerably. In surface-enhanced infrared absorption spectroscopy, the absorption intensity depends on the strength of the field acting on the NPs layer.
