Abstract:This article presents the design and fabrication of two types of reader antennas as a proof of concept. One of them is a microstrip meander antenna, whereas the other one is a microstrip patch dipole antenna. Both are fabricated on a lowcost epoxi-based FR-4 substrate in a LPKF S103 prototyping machine. Besides that, several meander antennas were designed using other substrates.
