Abstract:Computer vision-based fire flame detection system has recently begun to replace traditional fire detection systems. The conventional imaging-based system uses color models and temporal analysis algorithms to detect and segment fire in an image or a frame. Color model algorithms could not effectively distinguish between fire and fire-like objects in real-time videos. Besides, temporal analysis between structures has not yielded higher detection accuracies. This work proposes a lightweight convolutional neural n… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
