For example, the feminization of migration has been extensively analysed from a quantitative perspective (Abusharaf, 2001; Gabaccia, 2016; Kofman, 2000; Marinucci, 2007), others have looked at the artistic careers of the male migrant population (Bennett, 2010; Comunian et al, 2016; Petersen, 2017), and others have focused on the relationship between migration, gender, resistance and activism (Freedman, 2008; Guerra et al, 2020; Lee, 2003).
