Abstract:Abstract-Boundary element methods (BEMs) are an increasingly popular approach to the modeling of electromagnetic scattering both by perfect conductors and dielectric objects. Several mathematical, numerical, and computational techniques pullulated from the research into BEMs, enhancing its efficiency. The Fast Multipole Method (FMM) and its descendants accelerate the matrix-vector product that constitutes the BEM's computational bottleneck. In particular, dedicated FMMs have been conceived for the computation … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
