Abstract: Myxobacteria are a rich source of structurally diverse polyketides with unique architectures. Many of these compounds are associated with high biological activities, including antiproliferative, antibiotic, antifungal, and antiplasmodial activities, and in many cases specific targets are addressed at the molecular level.
