Recent advances in total synthesis of protoberberine and chiral tetrahydroberberine alkaloids

Abstract: In this comprehensive review, we categorically summarized the developmental trajectory of the total synthesis of these alkaloids based on the core closure strategies of protoberberine and tetrahydroberberine.
