Abstract:Among the allotropes of phosphorus, black phosphorus (BP) is one of the most thermodynamically stable structures. Due to its unique physical and chemical properties, BP has shown considerable potential in many applications, such as field-effect transistors, energy storage and conversion, and photocatalysis. However, low-dimensional BP is easily corroded by oxygen and water owing to the large specific surface area and unbonded lone pair electrons on the surface, which reduces its chemical stability in the envir… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
