Abstract:data, the order of mean 25OHD levels and vitamin D sufficiency rates by race/ethnicity was: non-Hispanic white (NHW) > Mexican American (MA) > non-Hispanic black (NHB) and sufficiency rate was as low as 2.8% for NHB 12-19 years old. The order of vitamin D deficiency rates by race/ethnicity was: NHB > MA > NHW and deficiency rate was as high as 17% for 20-64 years old NHB.
