“…In this regard, the professional associations in Spain (the Spanish Association for the Study of the Liver, the Viral Hepatitis Study Group of the Spanish Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology and the Spanish Society of Digestive Pathology), a country close to eliminating HCV infection, have developed a consensus for the comprehensive diagnosis of chronic viral hepatitis (Figure 1).
