Abstract:Background In definitive radiation therapy for prostate cancer, SpaceOAR, a hydrogel spacer, is widely used to decrease irradiated dose and toxicity of rectum. On the other hand, periprostatic abscess formation is known as a rare adverse effect of SpaceOAR.
