Abstract:Traumatic rectal injuries are rare entities with increased morbidity and mortality. In traumatic rectal injuries, primary repair is preferred in patients with early diagnosis, whereas inclusion of fecal diversion could reduce the morbidity and mortality in patients with generalized peritonitis.
