Abstract:Introduction 5-azacitidine is a hypomethylating agent (HMA) used for treating myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and certain myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). Common side effects include myelosuppression, nausea and injection site reactions. Serious allergic reactions are rare with this class of agents.
