Red cell antigen phenotypes in blood donors & thalassaemia patients for creation of red cell antigen-matched inventory

Abstract: Background & objectives : Patients with thalasssaemia are at a risk of alloimmunization and the presence of RBC alloantibodies further complicates transfusion therapy.
