Reduced Switch Count Converter For Switched Reluctance Generators

Abstract: This paper deals with electronic converters to drive the switched reluctance generator -SRG. An alternative reduced switch count converter is compared with the conventional asymmetric half bridge converter. The SRG is driven with constant speed and excited with DC power from a three-phase rectifier bridge and supplies pulsed DC power to the load at the output.
