Refrigeration by modified Otto cycles and modified swaps through generalized measurements
Naghi Behzadi
Abstract:We introduce two types of thermodynamic refrigeration cycles obtained through modification of the Otto cycle refrigerator by a generalized measurement channel. These refrigerators are corresponding to the activation of the measurement-based stroke before (first type) and after (second type) the full thermalization of the cooling medium by the cold reservoir in the related familiar Otto cycle. We show that the coefficient of performance for the first type modified refrigerator increases linearly in terms of mea… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
