Abstract: Cerebral autoregulation (CA) is the mechanism that maintains stable cerebral blood flow (CBF) despite fluctuations in systemic blood pressure, crucial for brain homeostasis. Recent evidence highlights distinct regional variations in CA between the anterior (carotid) and posterior (vertebrobasilar) circulations.
