Abstract:Germanium selenide (GeSe) nanoribbons as quasi-one-dimensional materials have been expected to host tunable fascinating electronic properties due to the edge state and quantum confinement effect. Herein, the effect on the electronic structures and transport properties of the zigzag GeSe nanoribbons (ZGeSeNR) of different functional groups passivation are systematically studied using a combination of density functional theory and non-equilibrium Grimm function. The N-, P-, and S-passivated ZGeSeNRs are metallic… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
