Abstract: Background:The rapid spread of the global pandemic of SARS-CoV-2 has strained the healthcare systems and laboratory testing resources, thus making rapid prediction of disease severity and critical care requirements a critical challenge. Recent studies have demonstrated that blood type may affect the risk and severity of SARS COV-2 disease. Therefore, the aim of this study was to explore the effect of ABO blood groups on COVID-19 susceptibility and disease outcome in Egyptian COVID-19 patients.
