Various studies have analyzed employees’ perceptions with regards to voluntary turnover and very few studies have attempted to identify and assess the consequences of involuntary turnover on the employees. Thus, this study attempts at analyzing the consequences of any potential involuntary turnover on employees that can take place as a response to the economic crisis that will occur with the COVID-19 pandemic. Factors like role overload, job stress, occupational burnout and Work Family Conflict (WFC) has been identified as the resulting effects of any job losses. Significant and positive relationship was recorded among variables and the relationship between involuntary turnover and WFC and between job stress and WFC were rejected. The Conservation of Resources theory (COR) and the Spillover and Crossover theory were used to better understand the complexities of the matter. The limitations and future work prospects have also been discussed.

Physician burnout has become a major concern for healthcare organizations and society as the increasing use of technology along with other changes have dramatically altered healthcare delivery in recent years. While prior research on burnout has offered explanations of a "dark side" of technology, it has not sufficiently captured the complexity of the institutional context in healthcare. To address this research gap, we develop a theoretical framework of physician burnout that considers both institutional issues and job demands/resources related to healthcare delivery. Drawing on the institutional logics literature, we identify four competing logics that shape physician responses to day-to-day interactions with technology and institutional issues. We contribute to IS literature by theorizing that when technology reifies competing logics, the technologywhich was intended to be a job resource-becomes a source of increasing job demands while simultaneously reducing worker autonomy that could have buffered the impact of those increasing demands.

Job stress is a serious phenomenon that refers to workplace characteristics that threaten workers. Nursing has been identified as a job that has high stress level. Nursalam (2011) states that nurses who are given excessive workload can have an impact on burnout. Burnout occurs when people feel that the resources they value are threatened, they try to maintain those resources (Maslach and Leiter, 2016). Burnout can result in decreased nurse performance/Burnout can cause decreasing of nurse performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work overload on nurse performance directly nor indirectly. This study using quantitative approach and nonprobability sampling technique with saturated sampling of 40 low care inpatient service nurses in X Hospital Surabaya. Data analysis techniques using path analysis. The results showed that there was a significant negative effect between work overload and nurse performance directly nor indirectly.
