The highest prevalence of stunted in the Kedundung Health Center working area in Mojokerto City exceeds the Stunting Prevalence Threshold. Stunted is influenced by the adequacy status of nutritional intake consumed by children, especially the level of protein nutrition intake. Both indirect and direct factors influence protein intake status. This research aims to identify indirect factors using quantitative cross-sectional method. This research used secondary data on stunted under-five children at the Kedundung Health Center, with more than 48 under-five children. The sampling technique used is nonprobability-purposive sampling, which then eliminates missing data through technical data analysis using the Chi-square correlation test. The results obtained for the five independent variables studied, the variable family income level, the father’s education and the mother’s education, have a significant relationship. The father’s employment status variable can not be concluded. The father’s employment status in the literature is related to protein intake through the father’s role in regulating the low protein intake of under-five children. The mother’s employment status variable has no significant relationship with the intake status of under-five children. Mothers do not have sufficient knowledge and skills to regulate under-five children’s intake patterns, including prioritizing food spending and controlling the adequacy of protein intake. The implications of this study show that the family’s economic conditions and the parent’s knowledge affect the protein intake status of under-five children; also, regional financial stability impacts the family economy.

Based on observations, there were several problems in terms of student satisfaction with the food service. This study aimed to determine the relationship between food satisfaction with energy and macronutrients intake. The method used was quantitative with a cross sectional study design. The sample in this study consisted 96 female students from the junior high school level and from high school students and the sample selection used simple random sampling. The data analysis technique used the Spearman correlation test. The results obtained from this study indicate that 52.1% of respondents who were satisfied with the organization of food at the Islamic boarding school, while 47.9% were dissatisfied. The energy intake of most of the respondents was in the less category (56.6%), carbohydrate intake was in the more category (80.2%), very less protein intake (56.3%), and less fat intake (75% ). The relationship between the two variables showed that there was no relationship between satisfaction with energy intake and macronutrients. Suggestions that can be given to next research are expected to be able assess satisfaction from the food obtained in the islamic boardong school canteen, because students’ food intake is not only obtained from the islamic boarding school kitchen.

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of maternal education, the level of maternal nutritional knowledge and the food intake of toddlers on the nutritional status of toddlers. Methodology: This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study was 54 toddlers obtained using random sampling techniques. The instruments used were questionnaires, 24-hour recall forms, foot scales and height measuring tapes or microtoises. The data obtained in this study were processed using chi-square test statistics. Main Findings: There is a relationship between the level of maternal education and the nutritional status of toddlers with a P value = 0.203 based on BB/A and a P value = 0.847 based on the TB/A index, the level of maternal nutritional knowledge on the nutritional status of toddlers with a P value = 0.990 based on the BB/A index and a P value = 0.171 based on the TB/A index. There is no relationship between food intake and the nutritional status of toddlers in Tamangapa Village, Manggala District, Makassar City with a P value = 0.004 based on energy intake with nutritional status BB/A and a P value = 0.006 TB/A. Novelty/Originality of this study: As a reference material for health workers and the government so that they can provide information and direction to the community, especially mothers, to pay attention to food intake and the development of the nutritional status of their toddlers.
