Abstract: Background This study investigated the relationship between intraoperative requirement for an inhalational anesthetic (sevoflurane) or an opioid (remifentanil) and postoperative analgesic consumption. Methods The study included 200 adult patients undergoing elective laparoscopic colectomy.
