Urban heat island (UHI) frequency and emergence are strongly associated with variations in land use/land cover (LU/LC) and land surface temperature (LST). This study investigates the impact of LU/LC class changes on LST based on the distribution of UHI spot maps in Mansoura city, Egypt, using Landsat satellite images from 1991 to 2021. Based on these estimated LU/LC and LST maps, machine learning algorithms, cellular automata, and artificial neural network approaches were used to predict future changes in LU/LC and LST for 2031. The influence of UHI may be quantified using the urban thermal field variance index (UTFVI). The geographic information system (GIS) add-in UHI calculator ArcGIS tool was created because we considered the spatial consequences of employing remote sensing data. This tool includes all the methods and procedures for calculating LST and UHI. The analysis revealed a positive correlation between LST and normalized difference built-up index and a negative correlation between LST and normalized difference vegetation index. The forecasted results for 2031 also show that the built-up area will grow roughly 20%, with a considerable drop in vegetation by 18%. If the city's fast urbanization continues, more than 40% of Mansoura will have land surface temperatures above 45°C by 2031. Avoiding dense built-up areas and growing vegetation spaces remain efficient means of minimizing the influence of UTFVI in urban construction practice. Therefore, this research will help to achieve sustainable development by providing essential insights into the complicated interplay between diverse aspects of urban settings and promoting city competency.

Вирощування різних сортів пшениці озимої, що поєднують високу продуктивність з адаптивністю,неможливе без вивчення закономірностей мінливості формування врожайності в залежності від погодних іґрунтових умов території, систем удобрення та варіантів підживлення. Метою дослідження є визначеннявпливу погодних умов на формування врожайності пшениці озимої сортів Відрада, Сагайдак і Оржиця зарізних систем удобрення. Дослідження проведено протягом 2020–2022 рр. у виробничих умовах улісостеповій зоні України. Досліджувалися сорти пшениці озимої української селекції, що характеризуютьсявисокою продуктивністю, достатньою стійкістю до хвороб і стресових факторів. Визначено, що найбільшсприятливим за температурою й опадами у вегетаційний період виявився 2021 р., що дозволило збільшитиврожайність всіх дослідних сортів пшениці відносно 2020 р. Найменш сприятливим став 2022 р. череззатяжну прохолодну весну, посушливий червень і сильні опади у липні. Врожайність пшениці озимої за цихумов коливалася на фоні без основного удобрення за різних варіантів додаткового удобрення та підживленняза сортами у 2021 і 2022 рр. відповідно: Відрада – 6,9–7,6 т/га і 5,2–5,6 т/га; Сагайдак – 8,0–8,6 т/га і 7,2–7,6 т/га; Оржиця – 6,0–6,4 т/га і 5,1–5,6 т/га. Визначено, що вплив погодних умов на врожайність пшениціозимої дослідних сортів складає у середньому 10–12 %. Застосування N30Р60К60 за основного удобреннясприяло збільшенню середньої врожайності дослідних сортів пшениці на 9,1–13,2 % за різних варіантівпідживлення та є найбільшим для додаткового удобрення N 60 за сумісного підживлення Моно Мідь і КАС.Найбільш ефективним за роки досліджень є додаткове удобрення N 60 з варіантами підживлення МоноМідь, КАС або їх сумісним використанням у фазі кущення на фоні без основного удобрення (середняврожайність за сортами): Відрада – 6,3–6,7 т/га; Сагайдак – 6,3–6,7 т/га; Оржиця – 5,9–6,3 т/га. На фонізастосування N30Р60К60 з додатковим удобренням N 60 найбільшу середню врожайність за 2020–2022 рр.забезпечено підживленням КАС або його сумісним використанням з Моно Мідь за сортами:Відрада – 7,1–7,5 т/га; Сагайдак – 9,1–9,5 т/га; Оржиця – 6,7–7,1 т/га.

Artificial impermeable surfaces are becoming more prevalent, especially in urban areas, as a result of shifting land use and cover, roads, roofs, etc. The modification of land surface temperature (LST) can also be accomplished through artificially impermeable surfaces. Large artificial impermeable surfaces, such as rooftops, parking lots, and other areas of use, can be found in industrial zones, shopping malls, industrial airports, and other locations. For the Anatolian side of Istanbul, 14 Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS imagery images over the years 2016–2022 were investigated. To evaluate how well the study’s images could be utilized, correlation and cosine similarity approaches were employed. A total of 12 images may be employed for research LST studies, it was discovered. We looked at closure dates during the COVID-19 epidemic to find out how human migration affected the LST. In addition, the LST value was estimated using the ordinary least squares (OLS) method employing LST and other biophysical indices. A decrease in LST values was seen as a result of the investigation. High levels of similarity and correlation were found between the images used. Results from the Google Mobility Index also provide support to the study. All of these facts provide support to Istanbul's Anatolian side experiencing lower surface temperature values, which consequently affects the city's massive structures.
