The parameters of the urea kinetic model (UKM) [product of dialyzer urea clearance and treatment time divided by body urea volume (Kt/V), protein catabolic rate (PCR), percent creatinine generation rate (%CGR)] are predictors of prognosis in patients on hemodialysis.
