Background. One of the important goals of midwifery support and care is to control labor pain and increase the ability to cope with pain. The use of religious coping may be effective in counteracting the stressors of labor, especially labor pain, as well as increasing the self-efficacy of labor. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between religious coping, pain severity, and childbirth self-efficacy in Iranian primipara women. Materials and Methods. This cross-sectional study was performed on 200 Iranian primiparous women referred to eight health centers in the capital of Hormozgan Province who were intending to have a normal vaginal delivery (NVD) in the Persian Gulf and Sharifi Hospitals. The sampling was multistage. Data were collected by demographic and fertility questionnaires, the Iranian Religious Coping Scale, the Childbirth Self-Efficacy Inventory, and the Visual Analog Scale for pain measurement. Results. Among the dimensions of religious coping, benevolent reappraisal had a significant direct relationship with pain severity, and negative religious coping had a significant inverse relationship with pain severity. In the case of childbirth self-efficacy subscales, the results showed dimensions of religious practices, benevolent reappraisal, and active religious coping had a significant direct relationship with outcome expectancy, and negative religious coping had a significant indirect relationship with outcome expectancy. Also, there was a significant direct relationship between religious practices and efficacy expectancy and a significant inverse relationship between negative and passive religious coping and efficacy expectancy. Conclusion. With increasing some dimensions of positive religious coping, the severity of labor pain and childbirth self-efficacy increases, and with increasing dimensions of negative and passive religious coping, childbirth self-efficacy decreases. These correlations were weak in all the mentioned results.

The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between spirituality, religiosity and self-efficacy and to identify whether the difference in counselors as registered and nonregistered has any differences in counselor's self-efficacy.The research is conducted using the descriptive and correlation method. A total of three instruments were used to measure spirituality, religiosity and counseling self-efficacy respectively. The data were analyzed using Pearson Correlation and Independent Sample T-Test using SPSS version 25. Two hundred and ninety-five respondents from secondary schools in Klang Valley Area has participated in this study through simple random cluster sampling method. Researcher chooses clusters between the districts in Klang Valley Area. There are a total of nine districts and two Wilayah Persekutuan (Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya) and the researcher randomly chooses the respondents from four districts which are Hulu Langat (95 respondents), Petaling (86 respondents), Kuala Lumpur (57 respondents), and Putrajaya (57 respondents). There is a significant relationship between spirituality and self-efficacy among the counselors. There is no significant relationship between religiosity and counseling self-efficacy among the counselors. There is a significant difference in counseling self-efficacy among the registered and non-registered counselors. It is suggested that integrating the spirituality in counselling on the programs that train the mental health practitioners will produce counsellors with more confidence in dealing with clients. Apart from forming stronger self-efficacy, spirituality and religiosity also develops the counselling skills in counsellors to provide more efficient and effective counseling sessions that instill self-efficacy in themselves.

Nowadays, researchers are interested to further investigate and look for the meaning and purpose in human lives and in spiritual experiences. Although it is hardly practical to discuss the definition, the measure of such attribute is another thing. This research aims to investigate the construct validity and the coefficient reliability of the spiritual attitude scale to measure Moslems' spiritual attitude for high school students. The spirituality as the attributes of psychology is continuously interested to further investigate and look for the meaning and purpose in human lives and in spiritual experiences. Although it is hardly practical to discuss the definition, the measure of such attribute is another thing. This research instrument is an inventory model of summated rating scale containing 23 items. Quantitative data analysis is used to test the evidence of the instrument's construct validity and the coefficient reliability. The results are revealing that there are eight factors extracted with eigenvalues over 1.0 from the total instruments questionnaire. The instrument reliability regarded as the coefficient of the construct reliability supported with the Cronbach's alpha values is 0.796.
