An Islamic guideline and instruction that can raise the public health standard is to lead a clean and healthy lifestyle, which must be done based on awareness and will. It takes time and effort to adopt Clean and Healthy Living Behaviours (henceforth PHBS) for everyone as individuals interact and affect one another within their order of living. This research aims to determine the Islamic education approach to promote PHBS in Muslim communities living on the coast in Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia. Additionally, this research seeks to identify factors impacting religious beliefs and adopting these practices. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology. The research findings show that an Islamic education approach can be instilled to promote PHBS in coastal Muslim communities. The influence of the Islamic education approach that always appears in the lives of coastal Muslim communities to improve public health: first, significant others (influential people); second, social environment; third, culture; fourth, social structure; and fifth, belief system; sixth, economic conditions; and seventh, Islamic education. The driving factor is the behaviour of Posyandu (Integrated Healthcare Center) cadres, sub-district employees, religious leaders and community health centre officers who are essential. The obstacle factors in fostering PHBS are the availability of rubbish bins and the need for more awareness among the public about disposing of rubbish in its proper place, so they throw rubbish in drainage channels and the sea, and some people burn it. Waste causes air pollution, a social economy, low public education and a low understanding of the value of Islamic teaching.

Education not only increases students' knowledge, but instilling religious values to shape students' character is essential. The objectives of this research include: How does the education system instill religious values to shape students' character at school? How do programs shape student character? How does the process of instilling religious values in schools affect student character? How do the results of instilling religious values affect student character? This research used a qualitative approach with a natural, reasonable situation and in an authentic setting to describe phenomena and obtain accurate data related to uncovering the implementation of strategic planning in improving the quality of Islamic boarding schools and full-day schools. The research location is At-Tadzkir IT Middle School and Tazkia Insani IT Middle School, Indonesia. The research results show that At-Tadzkir IT Middle School is an Islamic boarding school-based Integrated Islamic Middle School using a full-day education system that is part of the Indonesian Integrated Islamic School Network. The At-Tadzkir IT Middle School program can influence students' character by requiring them to board at the Islamic boarding school, build da'wah, and participate in all activities there. Meanwhile, Tazkia Insani IT Middle School has programs like Al-Quran learning, mentoring, good habits, and home visits. The religious values instilled at At-Tadzkir IT Middle School and Tazkia Insani IT Middle School include habits, supervision, and guidance. The results of applying religious values in shaping student character are the output of students with strong faith, knowledge, and good deeds, producing preachers and people with good character.

“…Therefore, this instrument is suitable for use in this survey.The reliability test for instrumental motivation and integral motivation uses the Alpha Cronbach formula with the help of SPSS. Based on calculations with the help of SPSS software, the Cronbach's Alpha value(Fuad, 2023) for the reliability of the instrument is 0.933. Based on reliability criteria, it is included in the very reliable category, meaning that the instrument is suitable for use in this survey.Analysis of the questionnaire results is based on Likert scale values from 1 to 5(Nasir et al, 2022), then interpreted based on the average value in table 2 below.…”

Motivation is vital for learning and mastering a language. Motivation related to second language learning is integrative and instrumental motivation. This research aims to describe students’ interest in learning English from the terms instrumental and integrative motivation. The research design is quantitative descriptive. The information obtained is interpreted as tables, diagrams and sentences. The research location is at the IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon campus for the odd academic year 2023-2024. The sample size was 100 students studying English using simple random sampling techniques. Data collection tools are questionnaires related to instrumental and integrative motivation, with 20 statements. The results show that integrative motivation is higher than instrumental motivation for various reasons. The instrumental motivation of students' desire to study English leads to the conclusion that their motivation is tied to their employment, future profession, and education. Regarding integration motivation, they recognized that English is a crucial language for worldwide communication. They are also eager to visit English-speaking countries, engage with native speakers, and utilize English with English-speaking friends or acquaintances. The majority of students learn English because of integrative motivation.
