Countries’ economic policies, such as tariff barriers, have a profound impact on the global economy and international trade. The imposition of tariffs seriously disturbs the global trade and supply chain operations. This paper studies a supply chain composed of an overseas manufacturer, a domestic supplier and a third-party integrated international logistics service provider. A three-level decentralized leader-follower decision-making model and its variant--leader-follower alliance decision-making models are established, and the influences of revenue sharing and cost sharing on the three-level decentralized decision-making are analyzed. The results show that it is difficult for the supply chain to achieve coordination when the transportation and insurance costs are considered in the tariff cost. The increase of tariff rates will reduce the profits of all parties and the overall profit of the supply chain, and weaken the dominant position of the supplier in the supply chain. Revenue sharing can improve the supply chain performance; the performance of the whole supply chain cannot be improved or may even deteriorate by sharing the transportation cost alone. The study can provide practitioners with implications for how to carry effective cooperation and coordination in the supply chain and how to effectively reduce the influence of tariffs in the global trade system.

Given the expansion of the COVID-19 cases and the average infection rate globally, constructing a robust healthcare supply chain system for the crisis is highly crucial. The third-party logistics providers (3PLs), who can match the market demand with reliable manufacturers worldwide, have emerged as orchestrators. In addition to the basic transportation and storage services, some 3PLs can also provide procurement assistance to relatively small retailers. To illustrate the value of the above-mentioned business model, we build a game-theoretic model to capture participants’ optimal strategy in a healthcare supply chain consisting of a manufacturer, a 3PL provider, and a retailer. We also investigate the conditions where the performance in this business model outperforms the traditional model. It is concluded that the 3PL’s positive effect appears when the decentralized supply chain is characterized by high logistics outsourcing costs and high-level price sensitivity. We further design an incentive mechanism that can coordinate the supply chain. Finally, a series of numerical experiments are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of our model.

With the recent focus on supply risk management in sustainable supply chains, it is more important than ever to evaluate and select the right sustainable suppliers from a supply risk perspective. However, few existing studies consider supply risks from the perspective of all three triple-bottom-line dimensions at the same time. To bridge this research gap, this research constructs a supply risk perspective integrated sustainable supplier selection model in the intuitionistic fuzzy environment. First of all, the weights of decision-makers in the decision-making group are obtained by intuitionistic fuzzy set. Secondly, after obtaining the aggregated intuitionistic fuzzy decision matrix considering the weight of decision-makers, the fuzzy entropy weight method is used to calculate criteria weight, objectively. Then, an improved failure mode and effects analysis is used to undertake risk assessments and to identify high-risk suppliers. Last but not least, the extended alternative queuing method is adopted to rank the eligible sustainable suppliers in the intuitionistic fuzzy environment. The proposed model not only reduces the uncertainty of decision-making in sustainable supplier selection, but also enables focal companies to reduce supply risk in their sustainable supplier selection practices and prevent the failure modes that relate to supply risk. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed model are verified through an empirical illustration in a leading electrical appliance manufacturer in China.
