Remote Raman Detection of Trace Explosives by Laser Beam Focusing and Plasmonic Spray Enhancement Methods

Abstract: Remote Raman spectroscopy is a technique that can detect and identify different target molecules through Raman vibrational modes from a remote distance. However, the current remote Raman technique is restricted by poor detection sensitivity, and it is still extremely challenging for trace explosive detection. Here, in order to achieve trace explosive detection from a remote distance, we innovatively propose two enhanced Raman spectroscopy methods by using a plasmonic spray and a laser beam focusing/ Raman sign… Show more

“…The surface-enhanced Raman substrate is a prime example in the field of functional materials fabrication. Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is a technique that enhances the Raman scattering signals of target molecules on specially prepared noble metal substrates, mainly Au and Ag. The surface enhancement effect, high sensitivity, real-time performance, and nondestructive nature of SERS technology make it an effective TNT detection method. , Nowadays, various methods utilizing SERS technology have been developed for TNT detection. Researchers have created SERS substrates using 2D materials and precious metal particle composites by the in situ growth of Au nanoclusters on MG fibers .…”

“…The Raman effect has led to an in-depth study of the structure of molecules by spectroscopy, hence the name "ngerprint spectroscopy", which is specic, fast, sensitive and non-destructive. [19][20][21] Raman shi corresponds to the vibration or rotation mode of the corresponding chemical bond, which can realize the detection and identication of the small particle. [22][23][24][25] It is therefore of great advantage in the analysis of the structure of compounds.…”
