Abstract:Phosphorus and nitrogen are known causes of eutrophication in rivers, lakes streams and estuaries. The sources of these nutrients are diverse and they include chemical fertilizers, CAFOs (Confined Animal Feeding Operations), land application of animal and municipal as well as industrial wastewaters.
