Abstract

We would like to thank the discussers for their reinterpretation of the hyperbolic parameters a and b in the following normalized load-settlement model of traditional closed-end preformed (CEP) piles (e.g., precast concrete or steel pipe) and driven cast-in-situ (DCIS) piles in sand (Flynn and McCabe 2019):
