Research of Collaborative Interactive for Medical Imaging Based on Roles Change

Abstract: It is important to share the large amount of medical imaging data in different areas for a diagnosis and treatment collaboratively. Traditional medical visualization systems lack cross-platform access and collaborative mechanisms. This paper proposes a remote collaborative interactive systems for medical imaging based on users' role change. All master users can achieve collaborative interaction with one medical imaging, the spectators can receive the same visualization scene in real-time, and the spectators ca… Show more

“…Nevertheless, only a few visualization systems provide practical methods to visualize volume data and interactively manipulate slices for remote collaborative teams, because large dataset and complex visualization algorithm are great challenges for an online system, especially when the client has poor computing performance, or unstable web connection, researchers need to consider and optimize data transfer and visualization method 25‐28 . In this field, medical imaging systems 29,30 that supports slice rendering and volume rendering are developed, solving the cooperation and crossplatform access problems in medical visualization systems. Deng et al 31 presented an online 3D image rendering platform, sharing camera angles in real‐time.…”
