Research on consumptive capacity and countermeasures of renewable energy of central Tibet

Abstract: Tibet is located in the southwest of China, with unique geographical conditions and natural resources, new energy reserves like solar energy and wind resources are in the forefront of other provinces in China, and it is also one of the solar energy resource richest regions in the world. Since central Tibet is the economic center of the Tibet autonomous region and Lhasa is the outside sending end of Qinghai-Tibet DC, developing new energy resources in central Tibet would play an important role in inter-provinci… Show more

“…This, in turn, is expected to stimulate the rapid development of renewable energy technologies. This is particularly true in the ecologically fragile western part of China, where renewable energy has an important significance for local economic development and environmental governance [29,30]. In the next 20 years, China's growth in renewable energy use is expected to exceed the total amount of that in Europe and the United States [29,31].…”

“…As an emerging environmental pollution control technology, photocatalytic degradation is considered one of the most promising environmental purification technologies at present because of its advantages of mild reaction conditions, low secondary pollution, sustainability, and environmental friendliness [4][5][6][7]. Since Tibet is one of the regions with the strongest solar radiation in China and even the world, the abundant energy resource is ideal for applying photocatalytic technology to ecological environment protection and governance in Tibet [8][9][10]. TiO 2 is recognized as one of the best photocatalyst materials with stable properties, low cost, ease of access, non-toxicity and safety, and good resistance to photocorrosion.…”
