The radio altimeter system is an important part of the aircraft navigation system, the system failure will directly affect flight safety. Therefore, to ensure the safe flight of the aircraft, a fault diagnosis method based on fault trees and Bayesian networks was proposed in this paper. Firstly, starting from the system composition and working principle, taking the typical failure of the system ‘loss of radio altitude displays’ as an example, the fault trees were set up to comprehensively analyze the cause of the fault. On this basis, the built-in fault tree models were used to build the Bayesian network model, and to determine the maximum possible paths and key nodes of the fault through reverse reasoning to achieve the fault positioning. The outcomes demonstrate the excellent accuracy and dependability of the proposed method.

Maneuvers of human-operated and autonomous marine vessels in the safety zone of drilling rigs, wind farms and other installations present a risk of collision. This article proposes an algorithmic toolkit that ensures maneuver safety, taking into account the restrictions imposed by ship dynamics. The algorithms can be used for anomaly detection, decision making by a human operator or an unmanned vehicle guidance system. We also consider a response to failures in the vessel's control systems and emergency escape maneuvers. Data used by the algorithms come from the vessel's dynamic positioning control system and positional survey charts of the marine installations.

La industria automotriz y su normatividad (ISO 9001:2015 y la IATF 16949) establecen una secuencia lógica para el aseguramiento de la calidad de sus productos, la cual considera el plano de la parte, el FMEA de diseño (DFMEA), la matriz de causa y efecto, el diagrama de flujo de proceso, el FMEA de proceso (PFMEA) y el plan de control. El plan de aseguranza de la calidad es establecido desde la etapa de planeación del producto, y en la etapa del diseño del producto se diseña de acuerdo a las metas de diseño y se definen las posibles fallas que este pudiera tener. Este documento muestra el análisis de fallas de un dispositivo utilizando de principio la información obtenida de un FMEA de diseño (PFMEA), mediante las herramientas de análisis de árbol de fallas (FTA) analizando las relaciones existentes entre los elementos fundamentales y sus relaciones y finalmente la construcción y análisis de una Red Bayesiana (BN) donde se permite establecer y apoyarse en las relaciones causales de las variables establecidas para la construcción del modelo y realizar en análisis estadístico que permita obtener información que de cuentas del comportamiento y adecuación que se puede hacer al modelo mediante el uso de softwares estadísticos como el SamIam que realiza cálculos de probabilidades condicionales en base a las relaciones causales propuestas. Mediante el uso y análisis de las herramientas anteriores se pudo llegar a encontrar el comportamiento de los componentes para una bomba de gasolina y establecer cuáles son las probabilidades de falla de cada una, así como su repercusión en el sistema y en la variable de interés primordial que es la falla general de la bomba.
