Abstract:The arc propulsion system needs a high-voltage (3800 V) pulse to break down the working medium in the thruster and form a stable arc. The arc thruster power control unit (ATPU) is prone to producing high voltage discharge when the high voltage pulse is output. According to the high voltage breakdown mechanism, this paper puts forward control measures to prevent the high voltage breakdown.
