Research on Permeability Enhancement Model of Pressure Relief Roadway for Deep Coal Roadway Strip

Abstract: Aiming at the problem of permeability enhancement in deep coal roadway strip, it proposed a pressure relief roadway permeability enhancement model, and the model was verified through experiments, theoretical calculations, and field tests. The experiment reveals that the unloading of gas-containing coal can achieve the effect of permeability enhancement. Theoretical calculation shows that with the increase of the distance from the coal seam, the overlying coal seam’s permeability enhancement multiple and the wi… Show more

“…The particles of the coal specimen were modeled as rigid spheres with a certain range of particle sizes. The contacts between the coal particles were chosen through the parallel bond model [21]. As a mechanical interaction law between particles in PFC software Version 6.0, the principle of this law is equivalent to establishing two sets of microscopic vertical spring units between two particles, including springs perpendicular to the contact surface (normal springs) and springs parallel to the contact surface (tangential springs).…”

“…Refs. [18,21] used numerical simulation software to simulate the stress concentration zone in the excavation direction of deep coal tunnels, and obtained the pressure relief effects of directional drilling, roof stratification, and axial force changes of anchor rods. Wen et al [20] studied the number and the propagation law of fractures for coal samples in the process of drilling pressure relief under different parameter conditions by numerical simulation software.…”
