Abstract: Human chorionic gonadotropin is a glycoprotein hormone produced by human or humanoid syncytiotrophoblasts that differentiate during pregnancy. Due to its superior stability and long-lasting effects compared to luteinizing hormone, it is often used to replace luteinizing hormone to regulate reproductive performance in sows.
