Residual properties of gases based on a complete virial equation of state

Abstract: A particular virial equation of state is proposed for calculation of residual thermodynamic properties of real gases. It uses an infinite, nontruncated series of terms, but simplified, temperature-independent values of the virial coefficients are suggested beyond the third. Range limits of applicability are investigated along with their possible extensions.
