The purpose of this study was to assess the processes of plant community formation on recultivated dumps of spent uranium-containing industrial waste from uranium deposit mines, as well as to identify the degree of impact of agro-climatic factors, agrochemical indicators of soils of recultivated dumps, and the level of residual ionizing radiation on the productivity of the emerging vegetation cover. Studies of plant colonization of recultivated Grachevsky and Shantobinsky uranium mine dumps located in Northern Kazakhstan were carried out. The mining and technical stage of reclamation consisted of planning a dump with slopes of 15° and covering it with a 1 m layer of chestnut soil. In total, 30-35 plant species are present in the dumps, the projective coverage is approximately the same (56.6-70.0%), and the herbage density is 15-16.6 plants/100 m2. As a result of the measures taken to recultivate the dumps, the intensity of the background ionizing radiation at the Grachevsky mine dump was in the range of 25-35 µR/hr and at the Shantobinsky mine dump 10-25 µR/hr, which indicates compliance with safety standards. The plant species which can be used for artificial plant colonization of uranium-containing waste dumps, were identified.

Objective: This research focused on the effectiveness of laws related to Natural Resources, Environmental Safety, and Climate Protection at both local and global scales. Methods: A comprehensive survey was conducted among residents of a large metropolitan area to gather data on their usage of urban green spaces and assess their mental well-being. The survey included questions related to the frequency of park visits, types of activities engaged in within green spaces, and self-reported mental health indicators. Statistical analysis, including regression modeling, was employed to examine the relationship between green space utilization and mental well-being. Results: The analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between the frequency of urban green space visits and improved mental well-being among residents. Individuals who visited green spaces more frequently reported lower levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. Moreover, engaging in physical activities and social interactions within these spaces demonstrated an even more pronounced positive impact on mental health. Conclusion: This study underscores the vital role of urban green spaces in promoting the mental well-being of metropolitan residents. Increased access to and utilization of green areas within cities can contribute to lower levels of stress and improved mental health outcomes. Urban planning and policy efforts should prioritize the preservation and creation of green spaces as integral components of urban environments to enhance the overall quality of life for city dwellers.

It was observed that the biometric indicators of spring wheat varieties were significantly affected by irrigation rates and periods, and it was determined that the biometric indicators changed accordingly. With the increase in the number of irrigations, it became impossible to increase the productivity. In the options of wet tillering (FON), FON+2 irrigation, Fon+3 and Fon+4 irrigation, the mass of grain in one ear is from 1.26 to 1.56 g in Semurg variety, from 1.05 to 1.35 g in South Gavhari variety, respectively. up to 1.29 g to 1.67 g in the Saratov variety. The weight of 1000 grains also varies according to irrigation options, from 40.0 g to 42.0 g in the Semurg variety, from 32.5 to 35.4 g in the Janub gavhari variety, from 39.4 to 41.5 g in the Saratov variety. formed The yield was higher in the FON+3 irrigation option compared to other options. In this case, it was 44.0 t/ha in the Semurg variety, 42.8 t/ha in the Southern Gem, and 46.7 t/ha in the Saratov variety. In this option, the yield of varieties was higher by 24.3-26.2 t/ha compared to the average wet storage (FON) option, and by 15.0-16.5 t/ha compared to the FON+2 irrigation option.
