These compounds include benz(a)pyrene and benz(a)anthracene, which have lower acute toxicity and higher mutagenic and carcinogenic potential (Lage-Yusty et al, 2005;Hylland, 2006). It is possible that the low acute toxicity of these PAHs explains the normal behavior of groupers during the experiment.…”
