“…The explanation of Sairanen et al [9] was based on the observation of Auger spectra. [20−22] We digitized the Auger spectrum at 249.0 eV measured by Mursu et al [21] and Hiltunen et al, [22] and the intensity from the participation or spectator Auger process of 2𝑝 5 ( 2 𝑃 1/2 )3𝑑 → 2𝑝 4 𝑛𝑙 + 𝜀𝑙 is nearly equal to the one from the 2𝑝 5 ( 2 𝑃 3/2 ) Auger lines of 2𝑝 5 ( 2 𝑃 3/2 ) → 2𝑝 4 + 𝜀𝑙. The above observation is consistent with the ratio of the intensity of 2𝑝 5 3𝑑 to that of the ionization continuum of 2𝑝 5 ( 2 𝑃 3/2 ) + 𝜀𝑙, which is shown in Fig.…”
