Response of future hydropower generation of cascade reservoirs to climate change in alpine regions

Abstract: Climate warming accelerates the hydrological cycle, especially in high-latitude and high-altitude areas. The increase in temperature will increase the amount of snow and glacier melting and change the runoff, which will affect the operations of cascade reservoirs significantly.
