“…Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs), which are synthetic receptors prepared through templated polymerization, can exhibit antibody-like binding properties or enzyme-like activities. As MIPs are easier to prepare, more cost-efficient, and more stable than antibodies, they have found promising applications in separation, sensing, , catalysis, and bacteria killing . Recently, by using boronic acids as ligands to bind the glycans of glycoproteins, we have synthesized a series of high-performance MIPs via the photolithographic boronate affinity molecular imprinting , and the boronate affinity-based controllable oriented surface imprinting approaches. These boronate affinity MIPs exhibited highly attractive binding properties, including high specificity, high affinity, biocompatible binding pH range, and superb tolerance to interferences.…”
