RETRACTED: Plasmonic Nanostructures Prepared by Soft UV Nanoimprint Lithography and Their Application in Biological Sensing

Abstract: Abstract:We prepared high-density plasmonic nanostructures on a glass substrate. By using soft UV nanoimprint lithography, gold nanodisks with a diameter of 65 nm were obtained on an area of 1 mm 2 . We tested these gold nanosensors in the biotin/streptavidin system to study their selectivity and sensitivity of detection. The prepared gold nanodisks could detect streptavidin at 10 pM.

“…Since the trend of smaller AuNPs exhibiting higher surface sensitivity is valid for particles up to 80 nm in diameter and an ad-layer of 15 nm in thickness 41 , the ensemble hypothesis should be applicable in a wide range of situations as long as the four premises are satisfied. This allows the interpretation 11 of ensemble narrowing observed in the literature 13,[23][24][25][26][27] and ensures the adaptability of the sensing platform we will propose in section 3.3. Within an ensemble of AuNPs, since D0 is smaller than D1, LSPR0 is larger than LSPR1, the ELW decreases as a result of thiolation.…”

“…3A) confirms the above conclusion and the narrowing effect observed in the literature. 13,[23][24][25][26][27] In short, the ELW is decreased due to a differential behavior that arises from the ensemble size distribution: smaller particles corresponding to the blue side of a spectrum display larger redshifts than the larger ones that contribute to the red side of the spectrum.…”

“…In the past, the electron-beam lithography (EBL) [15] and photolithography [16] methods can be used to fabricate the nanoparticle arrays for LSPRs' structures. Nanosphere lithography (NSL) [17,18] is one of the most low-cost and high-efficiency methods for producing periodically and geometrically tunable nanostructure arrays.…”
