Abstract: The vibration noise issue is even more severe when compared to other power equipment because of the distinctive design of the air gap structure used in the 750kV ultra-high voltage shunt reactor. This research suggests an optimum design strategy for vibration reduction of a 750kV Ultra High Voltage (UHV) shunt reactor based on the study of the differential design of the iron core structure to address the issue of excessive vibration noise of this equipment.
