Abstract:In this report, the authors describe the reverse lid swinging approach, which comprises lateral canthotomy, superior lateral cantholysis to free the upper eyelid, and an incision at the superonasal conjunctival fornix for orbital exposure. Four patients underwent orbitotomy using the reverse lid swinging approach for orbital tumor removal (n = 3) or orbital abscess drainage (n = 1).
