Review of physical layer networking for optical-wireless integration

Abstract: Abstract. We present a review of physical networking options and enabling system technologies for efficient unification of optical and wireless access backhaul infrastructure. Different physical layer integration architectures are reviewed in conjunction with the possible wireless signal transport schemes.
