RF Biometrics

Abstract

This report is a concise summary of research on radio frequency (RF) biometrics published in the open literature and informed by my own research as the Principal Investigator of the United States Army Research Laboratory's RF Biometrics program between 2007 and 2012. I provide a functional definition of RF Biometrics and define a concept of operations to provide context for the cited research. I explore the origins and evolution of RF Biometrics particularly in the context of security and defense applications, and provide a brief assessment of the current and future trends for RF Biometrics.
