Risk Indicators and Road Accident Analysis for the Period 2012–2016

Abstract: Road accidents are a major societal issue for every country. The purpose of this paper is to assess the number of traffic and road accidents depending on a series of variables (collision mode, road configuration, conditions of occurrence, road category, type of vehicle involved, personal factors, and length of time of the driving license) in Romania from 2012-2016. The analysis of the road accident trend identifies the causes of accidents, road safety performance indicators, and risk indicators. Having these i… Show more

“…A framework was proposed to improve the road safety system and to reduce crashes with the aid of crash data involving a series of variables (collision mode, road category, etc.) in Romania from 2012-2016 [9]. Statistic-descriptive method was used to investigate accidents involving good vehicles in European countries.…”

“…The aim of conformity assessment was first to verify if the general and specific requirements of rocks used as building materials are in compliance. Conformity analysis is often used in the field of occupational health and safety [19][20][21]; the proposed method is practically based on definition of conformity encountered in the field of safety, so we established a mathematical model for rock assessment that considers their imposed requirements.…”
