“…There was an increased operative time in the CME/D3 compared to the conventional cohort (weighted mean difference [WMD] 27.7 min, 95% CI 1.11–54.3, P = 0.041) (Table 2) but no difference in blood loss between cohorts (WMD 3.50 ml, 95% CI −29.13–36.12, P = 0.834). Twenty‐one studies pooled overall complications [13,20,22,23,25–28,30,33–41,45–47] and there was no difference between the two groups (relative risk [RR] 1.06, 95% CI 0.97–1.14, P = 0.189). Eighteen of these 21 studies reported anastomotic leak rate [13,20,22,23,26–28,30,33–34,37–41,45–47] which also showed no differences between the two groups (RR 1.02, 95% CI 0.81–1.29, P = 0.849).…”
