Abstract: Bacterial genomes are folded and organized into compact yet dynamic structures, called nucleoids. Nucleoid orchestration involves many factors at multiple length scales, such as nucleoid‐associated proteins and liquid–liquid phase separation, and has to be compatible with replication and transcription.
